Bariatric Lap Banding Cost
Surgery Cost lap band?
I was referred to a bariatric surgeon Lap Band Surgery. I made an appointment, but they will not go on the cost with me by phone. I was just curious if someone out there has had the surgery and what was the cost. Now, if someone had known about the consultation and the average cost. I know that my insurance does not cover not that, and if the cost is just out of line with my savings, I do not want to waste their time or mine. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. My insurance will not cover. Many insurance companies no longer cover bariatric surgery. Mine does not work and my husbands insurance company does not cover those types of surgery, and my best friends insurance will not cover. (Three separate companies …. Cigna, Anthem and universal health …. No cover this). Just for those who say insurance covers. They did not, sorry.
I would disagree with "Mia R". This is my experience that most insurance will not cover it, some if you can prove it is medically necessary, which can be quite difficult, and custom others, no matter what (like mine). I live in Arkansas, and I bet that costs vary from state to state. Mine came to 16,000 $ Plus various minor charges, like $ 45.00 for a drive to tighten the pre-op, and $ 75.00 for follow up. I would say that after everything is added up, it got probably cost $ 17,000. However, if you have complications it can be much more. Mine was outpatient, there was no overnight stay.
