Bariatric Surgery Hospitals

Having Gastric Bypass Bariatric Surgery, we really need 4 weeks of recovery before returning to work?
I am a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital. I pretty much run around all day hospitlal drug delivery. Yes will be laparoscopic.
It really depends on whether you have open surgery or the fact laprascopically (sp?) For one. You should also remember that your body is going to be going through big changes after surgery and it will be harder for you to get the nutrients you need. Be to do a lot of walking, 4 weeks almost seems a bit too early for me. Follow the doctor about it. If you return to work before time runs the risk of developing a hernia and other complications do not want and that will keep out of work longer.
